Passing Hidden Data from Contact Form 7 to Pardot
Following on from my previous blog, “Integrate Contact Form 7 into Pardot“, today I am going to take you through the steps of passing Hidden Data from Contact Form 7 to Pardot.
Step 1
For us to pass hidden data, you will need to create the field in Salesforce and Pardot before we begin..
If you create a free text field this will mean that any data passed from the Form will be received into Pardot without any restrictions.
For my example we will be passing a multi-select picklist value.
Step 2
Login into WordPress and locate your Form that will be passing hidden data from Contact Form 7 to Pardot.
Add the hidden field to your Form as per below.
Step 3
Click through to 3rd party services to add in the hidden field to the relevant connection.
To note “12 ways to improve download” is the hidden value we will be passing to Pardot.
Step 4
Login to Pardot. We will now need to update our Form Handler with the Hidden Field, Requested PDF.
Head over to the Form on your website and make a submission.
We now have success, as you can see below my record is now related to the Form Handler.
Step 5
Just click through to the related record and you will see the hidden value has been pushed into Pardot.
I really hope you found this blog useful and easy to follow.
